The annual Research Specialized Groups (RIG) meeting was held in Antalya attended by Bekir KARACABEY, the Director General of Forestry, Prof. Dr. Yılmaz ÇATAL, the Rector of Isparta University of Applied Sciences, deans of forestry faculties, representatives from the ministry and OGM, relevant academicians from universities, and researchers and managers working in Forestry Research Institute Directorates. The purpose of the meeting was to conduct the annual evaluation of research projects conducted by the Forestry Research Institute Directorates, which operate under the General Directorate of Forestry of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. During the five-day program, conducted in person, a total of 186 projects were examined across 7 distinct Research Specialization Groups. These projects included 32 newly received projects, 36 finalized projects, 3 projects with interim results, and 115 ongoing projects. Prof. Dr. Sinan GÜNER, Prof. Dr. Hazan ALKAN AKINCI, Assoc. Dr. Mehmet ÖZALP, Assoc. Dr. Fatih TEMEL, Assoc. Dr. Mehmet YAVUZ and Assoc. Dr. Mehmet KÜÇÜK from Artvin Çoruh University Faculty of Forestry contributed to the meetings as jury members and rapporteurs.
