A Collective Touch to Nature: Clean-Up Event Held in Kafkasör Urban Forest

13 May 2025, Tuesday 693

As part of the “Forest is Mine” week, a clean-up event was organized in the Kafkasör Urban Forest under the hosting of the Artvin Regional Directorate of Forestry. Third-year students from the Faculty of Forestry at Artvin Çoruh University voluntarily participated in the event, collecting litter with environmental awareness and a love for the forest, thus contributing to nature.
The event was attended by the Artvin Deputy Governor, members of the provincial protocol, the Regional Director of Forestry, and various local administrators. Representing our university, Dean of the Faculty of Forestry Prof. Dr. Mehmet Yavuz and Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences Prof. Dr. Sinan Güner also took part in the event and accompanied the students.

Throughout the event, our fourth-year students who are currently participating in the Workplace-Based Vocational Training (IME) program came together with third-year students who will undertake IME in the upcoming spring semester. The students exchanged experiences and worked together to bring a breath of fresh air to the Kafkasör Urban Forest.

This meaningful event, organized under the coordination of the Artvin Regional Directorate of Forestry, served as a successful example of collaboration between public institutions, the university, and students, united for the benefit of nature.
