The 3rd Meeting of the Forest Industrial Engineering Department Chairs (OREMKON) was held online on 27 November 2025 with the participation of all department chairs.

During the meeting, discussions were carried out on the establishment of the Council by creating the Directive of the Forest Industrial Engineering Department Chairs Council (OREMKON), the election of the founding term chair, the designation of the Forest Industrial Engineers’ Day, and updates regarding the visits made to the Chamber of Forest Engineers (OMO), the General Directorate of Forestry (OGM), the Turkish Standards Institution (TSE), the Ministry of Trade, and the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) in Ankara.

It was decided that the OREMKON Directive would be finalized and that the Council would officially be established as of 27 November 2025; that Prof. Dr. Muhammed Said FİDAN would serve as the Founding Term Chair of the Council; that 25 February would be celebrated as Forest Industrial Engineers’ Day; and that the series of official visits should continue.
