Upon the invitation of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aşkın GÖKTÜRK, faculty member of our Faculty’s Forest Engineering Department and Director of Şavşat Vocational School, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Davut BAKIR, a faculty member of the Forest Industrial Engineering Department, conducted examinations at the Şavşat Tepeköy Traditional Life Culture Museum on 28 November 2025.

In the museum, severe insect-induced damage and deterioration observed on various traditional wooden items—collected and exhibited through donations from local residents—were assessed. Based on the current condition, several evaluations were made, and recommendations were provided regarding protection, control, and potential restoration measures that could be implemented.
