Field-Based Plant Identification Activity Conducted Along the Kafkasör Plateau and Fıstıklı Village Route as Part of the Seed Plants II Course

A field-based plant identification activity was organized for 2nd-year students of the Forest Engineering Department at Artvin Çoruh University Faculty of Forestry within the scope of the Seed Plants II course.

The activity was led by Prof. Dr. Özgür Eminağaoğlu and took place along the Kafkasör Plateau and Fıstıklı Village route, known for their rich natural vegetation. During the event, students had the opportunity to observe and identify various seed plant species in their natural habitats, study their distinctive morphological characteristics, and conduct field sampling.

Research Assistants Şevval Salioğlu, Canan Açıkgöz Harşit, and Serkan Yılmaz also participated in the training activity, providing technical guidance and support to the students.

Such hands-on field exercises play a vital role in reinforcing theoretical knowledge and enhancing students' field observation skills related to plant diversity.
