Within the scope of the Spring Seminar Series organized by our Faculty of Forestry, a scholarly presentation entitled “Allium L. Taxa Naturally Distributed in Artvin” was delivered by Research Assistant Şevval SALİOĞLU on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at Amphitheater A-22. In her presentation, SALİOĞLU addressed the species belonging to the genus Allium L., which are embedded within the rich floristic diversity of the Artvin region.
The seminar offered an in-depth analysis of the natural distribution, ecological characteristics, and floristic significance of Allium L. taxa in Artvin. Emphasizing the scientific and economic importance of these species, SALİOĞLU highlighted the necessity of conserving their natural habitats to ensure the sustainability of regional biodiversity.
The event was attended by academic staff and faculty members of the Faculty of Forestry. Following the presentation, participants engaged in a dynamic discussion session, posing questions that reflected a keen interest in the broader dimensions of the subject matter.
