
Artvin Çoruh University Faculty of Forestry Held Its Academic General Assembly Meeting
The Academic General Assembly Meeting of the Faculty of Forestry at Artvin Çoruh University was held with the participation of our Rector, Prof. Dr. İbrahim AYDIN.
The meeting was convened to discuss and evaluate the educational processes, academic planning, and faculty activities for the Fall semester of the 2025–2026 Academic Year. In his opening remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Prof. Dr. Mehmet YAVUZ, presented an overview of the faculty’s academic, scientific, and social activities and shared information on the initiatives planned for the new term.

Prof. Dr. Mehmet Yavuz emphasized the importance they attach to hands-on and practice-oriented education, expressing their satisfaction with the “Vocational Training in Enterprises” program, which has been successfully implemented for the past three years. He noted that this program has significantly strengthened the collaboration and communication between the faculty and external stakeholders.
He also stated that, as part of the ongoing improvement program, organizing at least one field application for every course offered during the Fall and Spring semesters has greatly enhanced students’ practical learning skills and professional experience.

In his address, Rector Prof. Dr. İbrahim AYDIN highlighted the faculty’s commitment to high-quality education, its growing research activities, and the institutional development efforts carried out across the university. He underlined that the achievements realized through the dedication of academic staff have further strengthened Artvin Çoruh University’s national and international visibility.
During the meeting, academic staff members also took the floor to share their views, suggestions, and evaluations regarding the education and training processes.
The assembly concluded with wishes for a productive, fruitful, and successful new academic year.
