As Artvin Çoruh University Faculty of Forestry, we participated for the first time in the 3rd Forest Games Olympics organized by the Turkish Foresters Association (TOD). The event, held from July 19 to 21, 2024, saw the participation of 110 students from the Forest Engineering and Forest Industrial Engineering departments of 11 Forestry Faculties.

Our faculty was represented by a team consisting of Beyza Nur AKPOLAT, Habibe HANÇER, Ülkü Sena EFENDİOĞLU, Yasemin UYSAL, Doğukan YILMAZ, Emre KARAGÜL, Eyüphan KIRCI, and Kayhan GEÇ. Participants arrived on July 19, 2024, at the event and tent camp area set up on the grounds of TOD in Yumrukaya Village, Bolu.

On July 20, 2024, our faculty team placed 8th in the competitions held in five different categories (Log Rolling, Plant Species Identification, Wood Stacking, Annual Ring Counting, and Log Cutting). Bartın University Faculty of Forestry took first place, Düzce University Faculty of Forestry came in second, and Karadeniz Technical University Faculty of Forestry placed third.

The event, which brought together students from all the Forestry Faculties in Turkey, concluded on July 21, 2024. We extend our gratitude to our students for representing our faculty in the best possible manner.
