The 5th Forest Games Olympiad, organized by the Turkish Foresters' Association (TOD), was held on 17–18 July 2026 at Ata Farm in Gölbaşı, Ankara.

Artvin Çoruh University Faculty of Forestry proudly represented our University at the Olympiad. Competing against 12 faculties of forestry from universities across Türkiye, our Faculty achieved an impressive 5th place overall.

Representing the Faculty of Forestry were our students Beyza Nur Akpolat, Enes Malik Alakaya, Mehmet Çelik, Miraç Öztürk, Nisanur Dalkılıç, and Ülkü Sena Efendioğlu.

The Olympiad featured a variety of competitions designed to showcase the knowledge, skills, endurance, and teamwork required in the forestry profession. Participants competed in orienteering, log rolling, log stacking, team marching, log cutting, tree species identification, and combined forestry events. Throughout the two-day competition, our students demonstrated both their professional knowledge and their physical abilities with great determination and team spirit.

Before the competitions began, participants visited Anıtkabir, the mausoleum of the Founder of the Republic of Türkiye, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, to pay their respects. The event also included concerts and various social activities, providing opportunities for students from different universities to strengthen professional solidarity and build lasting friendships.
