Within the scope of the Watershed Management course offered by the Faculty of Forestry at Artvin Çoruh University, a technical field trip to the districts of Murgul and Borçka was organized under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Mehmet ÖZALP.

During the field study, students had the opportunity to make on-site observations regarding the structure of watershed ecosystems, water resource management, erosion processes, the effects of land use on watershed dynamics, and the principles of sustainable watershed planning. In Murgul and Borçka, various areas with different topographic and hydrological characteristics were examined, and topics such as rainfall–runoff relationships, stream channel morphology, and land classification were addressed through practical applications.
