As Artvin Çoruh University Faculty of Forestry, We Organized an Orientation Program for Our New Students

On September 25, an orientation program was held for the first-year students of the Departments of Forest Engineering and Forest Industrial Engineering. During the program, academic and administrative units located at the Seyitler campus, including the Faculty of Forestry, were visited, and general information was provided. The Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Prof. Dr. Atakan ÖZTÜRK, gave an overview of the Departments of Forest Engineering and Forest Industrial Engineering and student advising. Additionally, information was provided about the city of Artvin and the social and cultural opportunities available to our university within the city.
The Faculty of Forestry building was toured, including classrooms, lecture halls, student laboratories, departmental laboratories, and the wildlife museum. The Forestry Application and Research Center greenhouse, the Industrial Design Application and Research Center, and the Artvin Çoruh University Herbarium, all located on the Seyitler campus, were also visited. The social facilities building, which houses the canteen, dining hall, bowling alley, fitness centers, and both indoor and outdoor sports facilities, was introduced, and detailed information was given about their use.
The program continued with a tour of the AÇÜ Ali Nihat Gökyiğit Botanical Garden. Following this, information was provided about the academic and administrative units located in the city campus. The Ali Nihat Gökyiğit Congress and Culture Center and the AÇÜ Library were visited with support from the relevant units, concluding the program.
