Field Study Conducted at Şavşat Nursery and Sahara National Park

A field study was carried out on October 24 (Friday) with the participation of 3rd- and 4th-year students from the Department of Forest Engineering, Faculty of Forestry, Artvin Çoruh University. The program took place at Şavşat Nursery and Sahara National Park.

Within the scope of the field program, practical applications of the courses Forest Management, Remote Sensing in Forestry, Nursery Technique, and Dendrometry were conducted. The first part of the field trip was held at Şavşat Nursery, where seedling production and maintenance techniques were examined on-site. Afterwards, the group proceeded to Sahara National Park, where measurement and evaluation activities related to forest management and remote sensing were performed.

Following the completion of the course applications, anchovies were cooked and served, marking the end of the program in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

This activity provided students with the opportunity to reinforce their theoretical knowledge through hands-on field experience and to spend an enjoyable day in nature.
